Cole, Minogue win Glamour Awards

X Factor judge and Girls Aloud band member Cheryl Cole has been named TV personality of the year by Glamour magazine.

The award which is voted for by the magazines readers is in its sixth year recognises the achievements of women in film, TV and music, theatre, business and literature. For Cheryl Cole it comes hot on the heels of being recently voted sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine. Her band Girls Aloud also took home Band of the year at the awards held in London last night.

Other winners on the night included Kylie Minogue who took home both the Woman of the year and Entrepreneur of the year awards presented to her by British F1 driver Jenson Button. Wearing a bright black strapless dress and pairing it with golden heels, and a pearl like necklace and a leopard scarf she was a statement in understated elegance.

Katy Perry who shot to fame on the back of her hit single – “I kissed a girl” won the best newcomer award.
