Bruno Premiere’s at London’s Leicester Square

After landing bare bottomed on Eminem’s face at the recent MTV movie awards, Sacha Baron Cohens camp comedy creation the Austrian TV presenter Bruno strolled into Leicester Square to promote his latest film. Dressed in black leather hotpants and a bearskin hat he wowed the crowd with a series of outlandish poses.

Accompanying him down the red carpet were a group of men who marched alongside him and who were as outrageously dressed as he was.

Standing still for the National Anthem, the group broke into frenzied dancing as the music changed to techno. The film is about Bruno’s bid for fame in LA after being sacked from his Austrian television fashion show Funkyzeit and his aim at becoming “the most famous Austrian since Hitler”.

Gay groups in America have raised concerns about the film and in April, Texas congressman Ron Paul accused him of fraud, after being unwittingly tricked into a hotel room with Brüno who posed as an economics reporter.

Brad Pitt tops Underwear Poll

Brad Pitt has topped a poll conducted by underwear maker Jockey International as the celebrity dad Americans would most like to see in his underwear.
Pitt topped the poll after amassing 29 percent of voters. Matthew McConaughey with 24 percent was second and Hugh Jackman came in third with 19 percent of the votes. Will Smith was fourth at 16 percent.

What do you think? Is Mr Pitt with his“Sexiest Man” and “Most Beautiful man” titles deserving or would you vote a certain David Beckham especially after seeing his recent ad campaign for Armani?

Freida Pinto Dating Co-Star

Freida Pinto, one of the stars of the widely acclaimed movie hit Slumdog Millionaire has confirmed for the first time that she is dating her co star Dev Patel.

The 24 year old star who played Latika in the film called Dev “a lovely boy”. It was a case of fiction mirroring real life as the pair played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie, and their close friendship away from the cameras prompted rumours of a relationship.

Pinto continued: “The friendship blossomed after the film, it got even stronger. This is all new to us.”

The couple have never confirmed rumours that they have been dating although speculation mounted when they were earlier spotted holding hands and cuddling up at a seaside restaurant in Israel, and ring shopping in London after the film was released.

Former ‘S Club 7′ band mate and Strictly come dancing finalist Rachel Stevens was robbed of her engaement ring right on her doorstep yesterday.

It is believed she was followed home by three muggers who ambushed her as she entered her £800,000 north London flat. Ms Stevens who is due to marry in weeks was given the ring by her actor fiancé Alex Bourne. Also stolen with the ring was a Rolex wristwatch and a necklace which together are worth thousands of pounds.

Scotland Yard said: “It’s believed the woman returned to her flat and was followed in to the premises by three males. The suspects are understood to have threatened her before making off with a quantity of jewellery.”

One of the robbers was white and the two others were black.

David Carradine found Hanged in Hotel

Kill Bill actor David Carrdine has been found dead in his hotel in Thailand. The 72 year old who was shooting his new film Stretch is believed to have hanged himself at the Park Nai Lert Hotel in Bangkok. His body was found by a maid.

According to a spokesman for the US embassy who confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor, Carradine died either late on Wednesday or early today, but he could not provide further details “out of consideration for his family”,
“He was found in his hotel room in Bangkok but the cause of death has not yet been established,” the official said.

However local police officer Pirom Janthapirom suspects it is a case of suicide. He said: “We found his body hanging in the wardrobe of his hotel room at around 11:30 am (0430 GMT) with a rope around his neck. “We are investigating from where he got the rope because it does not seem it was from the hotel.”

Born in 1936, he became famous in the Seventies for his role as “Grasshopper” Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin priest in the 1800s American West in television series Kung Fu.

He was introduced to a new generation of fans when he played Bill, the lead villian and leader of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad in Quentin Tarrantino’s Kill Bill, Volumes One and Two.

He is survived by his fifth wife, Annie Bierman, and three children including actresses Calista and Kansas.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Deny Split

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have denied reports published in the National Enquirer that they are splitting up. The magazine reported that the couple, parents to six children, are set to announce an ‘official’ split. Jolie who has just been named the most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes magazine is currently shooting the political action thriller Salt in Long Island, N.Y., while Pitt is promoting Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

A representative for the couple dismissed rumours that the couple are splitting up. Speaking to People, the representative said “rumours of a breakup are not true.” The couple who have six children were recently seen at the Cannes film festival together in an apparent display of solidarity where they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Pitt’s new film.

According to the National Enquirer, Jolie’s jealousy over attention paid to Pitt by other women and his continued contact with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston are the reasons behind the apparent breakup. Pitt, 45, and Jolie, 34, were reportedly feuding during the recent Cannes Film Festival despite putting on a romantic show in front of the media.

Second on the Forbes celebrity power list is Oprah who was top of the list last year. Her earning power remains undiminished though. She took home £186 million last year. Madonna came third on the list which is based on earnings and media exposure.

Big Brother 10 House: First Photos

Big Brother 10 starts at 9PM on Thursday and Channel 4 has released pictures of a futuristic house that oddly enough, seems bereft of any furniture. There are NO beds nor furniture in the house. And most shocking of all is that there is NO pool which to many (guys) was the reason to tune in. There are some boxes in the living room, which could be the seating!

In keeping with the futuristic theme, the interiors are all curved with spaceship styled lights.

The outside seating area looks like a bus-stop. Infact, the only furniture seems to be four plastic chairs in the garden.

Rumoured to be among the sixteen housemates are two former beauty queens. Former Miss Wales Stephanie Holland, 22, and Karly Ashworth, 21, a finalist in the Miss Scotland competition are both rumoured to be in hiding ahead of the big launch night. A spokesperson said: ‘We never confirm or deny who’s going in the house until launch night’

Davina McCall returns, as always, to present the launch show on Thursday while George Lamb presents the E4 show Big Brother’s Little Brother.

Eminem’s Feathers Ruffled as he is Butt of Brunos Jokes.

Eminem was er…left red faced as Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen’s Austrian gay fashionista alter ego landed butt naked just inches from his face.

The event was at the MTV Movie awards where the rapper had just performed a medley of some of his hits and was back in his seat when Bruno descended from the rafters of the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios dressed as a type of angel, complete with feathered wings, knee high boots and a thong which revealed a lot more than it covered.

Bruno seemed to be some discomfort as he was lowered as he screamed: “Aarh! My kugelsack! My kugelsack! The wire is trapped round! Help me! Let me down! One of the wires is trapped around my kugelsack!” He landed right on top of Eminem with his legs straddling Eminem’s face and his butt inches from the Detroit rappers face.

After swearing and telling his bodyguards to get Bruno off him, Bruno still continued with his act telling them: “Hey, don’t touch me guys! I already have a boyfriend. Hey guys, let’s continue this in my hotel room.”

Eminem is riding high in the charts with his album Relapse in the top ten. Sacha Baron Cohen’s movie Bruno is set for release in July.

Susan Boyle Admitted to Priory Clinic

Susan Boyle, the runner up in last Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent final has been admitted to the Priory Clinic in London. Police were called at 6.00PM Sunday evening and after being assesed under the Mental Health Act, it was decided she was suffering from exhaustion and taken voluntarily to the clinic.

Boyle who was the odds on favorite to win the show had shown signs of the immense pressure she was under even before Saturdays final when she is alleged to have sworn in front of shocked guests when Piers Morgan, one of her biggest fans and a judge on the show heaped praise on one of the other contestants. The Scottish singer is said to have reacted with fury when Piers Morgan described young rival Shaheen Jafargholi as producing “pound for pound the best singing performance in the semi-finals”.
She allegedly made a two finger gesture at the T.V, shouting “F%ck Off!” before storming off.

After her shock defeat in Saturday’s final, Boyle ran down a corridor shouting “I hate this show”, according to newspaper reports. She also allegedly threw water over a floor manager who tried to calm her down.

Television company Talkback Thames which produces the show said Boyle was “exhausted and emotionally drained” and was taking a few days off.
“She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery,” the company said. “We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery.”

Over 19 million people tuned in to the final show with Boyle garnering 20.2 percent of the vote in the final, behind the dance group Diversity, which won 24.9 percent of the 4 million votes cast.

Boyle gained international fame after her audition on Britain’s Got Talent was watched over 100 million times on Youtube and went on to appear on the Oprah show and on Larry King Live.

Diversity win Britain’s Got Talent

Essex street dancers Diversity have won the finals of Britain’s Got Talent. During the finals in which ten acts performed live, the group won more public votes than any other act and beat bookies favourite, Susan Boyle into second place. Saxophonist Julian Smith came third.

Boyle who had been the bookies favorite going into the finals admitted that Diversity deserved the win. She said: “The best people won. They’re very entertaining. Lads, I wish you all the best.”
Boyle in a blue dress performed “I Dreamed a Dream”, the song she performed during her audition and which gained her instant fame with a reported 100 million views on Youtube and interviews with Oprah and Larry King.

“You’ve had a weird seven weeks and you’d have had every right to walk away,” said Simon Cowell, one of the competition judges “You have the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics and you beat them,” he said. He was of course referring to reports that Boyle had a well-publicized tantrum during which she allegedly swore at her hotel in front of shocked guests and was reportedly considering pulling out of the competition on account of nerves.

Diversity, a group consisting of three sets of brothers ranging in age from 12 to 25 put in another breathtaking performance with references to pop culture from the film “Transformers”, “Superman” and a cheeky skit which made reference to the judges buzzers drew high praise from Judges Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden. The third judge Piers Morgan wasn’t too impressed though and prefered Flawless’ performance.

It didn’t matter in the end as Diversity won first place with a £100,000 cheque and a chance to perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show.
